The second oldest in the field, this thirty-something could feel the strain this year as younger competitors up the ante. Is the joint favourite of the outsiders due to a suprisingly strong finish in 2005, but is unlikely to be the highest placed O'Mahony this time around.

Chances: Better than some, but won't be troubling the leaders.
